Topic: A Little G-code/M-code test

I mentioned in some posts the stock firmware appears to have hard-coded pre-heating of bed and nozzle, and that Repetier does not and does respond to M-codes.

I have the stock firmware but, I’m considering upgrading the board, extruder/etc… But, before I ‘bite that bullet’, I’d like to know if someone with modded firmware, different board, and/or Repetier… can run the attached G-code file.  There are two of them (only difference is header info).

Either way, the bed and extruder will go to position’s but, I want to know if it reads the M-codes and does what I intended - if it does, not only will it go to positions, the Temp’s will go to 40ºC and extruder will pause for different times (testing Dwell commands).  Then, it returns home.

Thanks in advanced to the curious and helpful smile

Re: A Little G-code/M-code test

I have a RAMPS 1.4 running on Marlin firmware installed in my Da Vinci. To my knowledge only two of us in this forum have changed out our boards and the other one is not running yet. Once I get home around 12:30 central time I can load your code on an SD card and see what it does. I will also run it in Rep host as well.

Great, thanks!  I revised and re-posted the code so grab the lastet to test...

It runs directly with s3D by just loading the gcode  (both) - no need to load on sdcard unless that's your preference.

I ran your to gcode samples. Rather than explaining what they did, here is a video.

The first one did move from home position out. I just did not have it homes on the second time I ran  it. The second one was homed first.
