Topic: GT2 Pulley - Davinci Pulley teeth count

I am upgrading the pulleys on my davinci to gt2 pulleys. Just curious if anyone knows what the teeth count is on the plastic white pulley.

I will probably have to design y carriages to support the gt2 pulleys and mod the firmware.

The pulleys are a 20 tooth count.  I was thinking about doing this myself, as one of the pulleys has a defect that causes it to wobble.  I'd like to know how it works out for you.  If I remember correctly, they have to be a 20 tooth, 8mm ID, with approx 7mm belt width.  Hope that helps.

I trust you are using or planning to flash to Repetier firmware? There is no way to access or modify the stock firmware.

I also dont really think GT2 belts and pulley conversion will make a noticablr difference versus stock. All GT2 is, is just a different profile on the teeth where it meshes with the gears. In fact judt looking at them I am pretty sure the belts in the machine now are GT2. Just not as wide as you might see on other machines.

Of course I'm running rep. Thanks. I ordered 8mm bore 20t because the diameter is smaller so it won't (hopefully) hit the x axis shafts. Carl, I will make this work. I've done a lot of mods already and haven't given up yet when there is problems. The gt2 pulleys are aluminum and are authentic. They aren't plastic, won't break. I just don't want to have to worry about replacing a stupid plastic wheel. The stock timing belt isn't a gt2. It's really flimsy and stretches. I doubt xyz would spend money on that.

I am getting my gt2 pulley system tonight. I will install it and let ya know how it works out. I don't think I will have to edit settings since the I.D. is 8mm and O.D. is 15mm (same as davinci stock) and also tooth count is 20 (same as davinci stock).

Just finished installing it. I just need to calibrate the timing belt.
