Topic: noob plus I'm getting the 0030

So yesterday I have been trying to figure out why my prints have been messing up. About half way through it seems like it got off track and skipped over to the left side of the bed about 2 in it was getting frustrating I was pulling my hair. Well later on last night I got the error message 0030
So I started to investigate the problem went into jog mode make sure everything  moved around the y axis wasn't moving right at all.
I moved the x axis all the way to the front and tried the y axis and it moved fine left to right no problem. I moved the the x axis back about 2 in and then the same problem with the y axis it would move to the right.
Any suggestions?

You have an intermittent connection to the opto sensor on the right end of the gantry. If the sensor cuts out do to a break in the wire the machine interprets this as the carriage being home and all moves after will start from that point. So basically every time the wire opens that makes the current position of the head the home for X.

So you think it in the sensor harness?  Because xyzprinting said that's where they want to start.
