Topic: Extruder carriage

so i just recieved my hot go getem xyz da vinci printer 1.0 opened the box and find the extruder is broken away from the carriage dam no using it this week end back to the store and order another one, question looking at the extruder carriage it looks very thin has this been a problem on these machine's.

After looking into this further i see there are different extruder carraige's the first being metal the unit i recieved was fiber reinforced plastic it was very thin around the mount were it broke off should have gotten the SN# version before i took it back to the store i am now wondering if this is a problem with these newer unit's what else has been changed and is it for making a better product or cheaper production cost.
