Topic: Replacement Power Supply
I just wanted to pass some useful information after replacing my power supply this weekend. I turned my print and POP! that it was...a dead Da Vinci...
At the advice of jdholbrook33 (who sells those awesome replacement beds on ebay) I went to Micro Center and purchased a 320 watt power supply (http://www.microcenter.com/product/4173 … wer_Supply)
The Solid Gear fits perfectly, but has many (MANY!) more wires - since it is meant for a 20pin motherboard. So I had to do some soldering. Basically, we need one connector with 12v and ground (already on the SG), and another connector with 12v, 5v, 3.3v, and ground - this guy you have to make. I just cut one of the connectors off of the old PSU and soldered the wires in. The last thing you need to know is that the "green" wire needs to be cut off of the 20pin connect and connected to the power switch along with a ground wire (any black wire).
Stuff it all into the back of the printer and you should be good to go! Also, I highly recommend a multimeter to make EXTRA sure you are using the correct wires (just in case the colors dont match up).
I was planning on a detailed writeup...but I forgot to take pictures...
Here is a good reference for matching the colors to the pins you need: http://www.powerstream.com/itx-atx-pinout.htm
