Topic: E3D complete carriage for Da vinci 1.0?

Somebody posted a few months ago a complete carriage for the E3D on the Da vinci. They had it all nicely rendered in 3D and had a link to the Thingiverse for it. I have looked through the first 5 pages and I am just not seeing it. Was it removed or am I just missing it? Now that my RAMPS install was a success I am ready to get rid of that stock extruder.

Printing since 2009 and still love it!

You have actually quite a few options these days to go e3d. You were probably looking for Tom's design (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:473038). This will decrease your Z-hight slightly however. You can also to a partial swap (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:707530). This was what I chose for the time being as it is relatively easy to do and your Z-hight will remain unchanged. Last but not least you can also go Bowden (that is what I'am planning now) (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:594392) - there is a version of this with bronze bushings as well in the original voltivo forum thread. Choice is yours.

I am in the process of designing a mk9 extruder carriage. My first design that I recently updated needs to be simplified more and needs a new arrangement for the airflow.

Thanks but none of those are the one I am looking for. This one was molded in white, green, and gold with some silver. it had a cage around the motor to secure it and used the used the Jhead mounting plate that comes with the hotend as an integral part.

Ah Ha! found it, had to change my search over there to vinci e3d and it showed up. This is the one I was interested in.
