Topic: Newbie print error

I just got my printer 2 days ago and I am having a blast printing different items.  However, I am having problems printing an Aircraft Carrier.  I am using Repetier and Slic3r, but I keep getting this error when I try to slice it.

  9:52:06 AM: <Slic3r> Can't call method "retract_length" on an undefined value at /Volumes/Repetier-Host Mac.app/Repetier-Host Mac.app/Contents/Resources/Slic3r.app/Contents/Resources/lib/std/Slic3r/GCode.pm line 211.

It only occurs on one of the back piece of the carrier.  Does anyone know what might be going on?

Re: Newbie print error

Is it boatback_fixed.stl?

This appears to slice fine for me (repetier V0.82b, slic3r 0.9.7), except it looks too tall for the print area when oriented vertically.
If you're using any rotation to get the model to fit, please give exact values (and software versions).

Otherwise check your retraction settings in slic3r;  although I would expect that any other model would give the same error if these were really invalid.

Re: Newbie print error

Thanks for the reply.  I just decided to run it through cloud.netfabb.com and after they "fixed it" I was able to get it to slice.
