Topic: Solidoodle Press Bed not moving at all

Now I have a big problem. (I got the Printer fixed with the whole thing of fixing the firmware. Turns out just needed to use a different controlling software for it. Now I'm using MatterControl instead of SoliPrint). Anyway, now my bed won't move at all. This just started today. I know that people have been saying that they use really cheap wiring and all, but everything looks OK, on there wiring part. I'm hoping not the motor (probably not) but you never know. Please help! smile

Thanks,

Re: Solidoodle Press Bed not moving at all

So if i am reading you right you can now home x and y and move x and y manual but z will not move.
is that correct?
It could be a loose connector on your control board.the limit switch could be active if so back of the xz manuly or as you say a broken wire.
First thing to check is the z limit switch circuit loop disconnect from the board check with a meter if you can. Hook an ohm meter to it with clips manually activate the switch
often limit switches are wired normally closed so opening the switch activate the input this also means a broken wire or  loose disconnected wire will prevent the axis from moving.

Another option swap the x and z limit switches on the board.  and see what happens
