Topic: Newbie needs printing help
I am printing a squirrel and it is coming out okay but not great. I am doing something wrong with the settings, can someone tell me what I might be doing wrong? My bed is set to 100 and the nozzle is set to 200.

Can you post your settings .ini and some more info?. Is that .3 or .1 mm? Doesn't look far off. Just very tough to tell without some more for us to go on.
I used Slic3r in Repetier. I am not sure how to post the .ini. Below are some of my settings. I am not sure what settings are important yet. I set up Slic3r based off Ian's videos.
.3mm
speed set at 50mm/s
fill density .2
From slic3r export config and then add it to your post. That squirrel won't have much detail at .3 mm so try .2 or .1. Also, you could slow down your outer perimeters to 25-30 mm/s. from there you probably want to turn on cooling for layers less than 15-20 seconds with min of 10 mm/s.
Thanks for the help with exporting my settings. Attached is the .ini.
Have you done your steps/mm and extruder calibration from Ian's earlier videos? Those make a huge difference. Also, is the filament diameter based on your measurements? it is a good starting point if you dont have calipers. After that if you don't have calipers, you may want to set your multiplier to something like .92. I would suggest the changes in my previous post as well along with bumping up perimeters to 3 or 4. You may be able to print this with 0 infill.
I have not done the extruder calibration. The filament diameter is based on measurements. I am in the middle of the flow calibration that Ian shows and my multiplier is .64. I slowed down the to 10 mm/s and turned on cooling, and my text box came out much better, not perfect, but better.
I wouldn't do flow calibration until after calibrating your extruder steps. Make sure when the printer is saying to extrude x ammount of filament it does so. Then from there you can calibrate flow
