Topic: remove extruder carriage

Anybody knows how to remove extuder carriage on the davinci 1.0A without taking the whole printer apart?

Cut all the zip ties loose securing the wires to the extruder body. Then disconnect the two 2 pin harnesses the 6 pin harness and the heater harness. Lift up on the black locking handle at the top and back of the extruder just above the fan and the extruder will tip back and out. The motor will stay and is not so easy to remove.

In Youtube there is a guy StevenQ-NE-UK who has done an entire video series of installing e3d to da vinci. He has a 1.0 I think but it should be more-or-less the same process so I guess you should be able to find the steps he uses to remove the entire extruder carriage from one of his videos (I think it was the phase 4 of his e3d install series videos - search youtube, you fill find it).
