Topic: 1.0.J extruder temp problem/question

I was on the latest firmware and I hardwired my thermistor wires to the wires that connect to the small pcb board in the extruder. I did this because I have a new extruder and I wanted to ditch the small pcb board. This hardwiring worked but I downgraded to 1.0.J today and my extruder temp in wrong. So my question is does the FW 1.0.j require the use of the stupid small pcb board?

There is a small resistor on the PCB board that goes between the sensor and the wire harness itself. I can check the resistance of it when I get to my printer big_smile

There is a tuning resistor that actually changes the default value of the thermistor from the standard 100k ohm to 200k ohms. The issue is there are about 4 different flavors of the 1.0. The tuning resisyor was on the PCB in the head on older versions while on newer versions it is on the mother board and newer firmware takes that into account while older firmware expects it to be on the head board and the incoming signal to be pre modified. So for older firmware yes you need the pcb in the head.

Hey guys is there a replacement for the small extruder circuit board besides using a 3rd party MB.

Are you not using your pcb board with firmware 1.0.j?
