Topic: .1mm printing not printing correctly in the Z axis.

I am having a problem with my .1mm prints not printing correctly in the z axis. I have it set to .1mm prints and the first few layers seem to print well but if I print anything more than 4mm tall the print head starts to hit the model. I don't have this problem with .3mm printing and I have printed items more than 5" tall items in .3mm layers. Is there a step I am missing other then setting the layer height to .1mm on slic3r.

It will help

Re: .1mm printing not printing correctly in the Z axis.

No I don't as soon as I notice the hitting i stop the print. I thought it was a problem with the .1mm print but its now a problem with both. I had to rebuild my computer because a hard drive failed and I thought I had the format correct. Apparently I don't.

If its common to both is there any settings that I can run to test z travel and then adjust?

**edit**
I just checked to see if I was loosing z travel but I am not I checked the elevation at 5mm 10mm 15mm with may calipers and every one is within a .02 so that is fine. I guess I am pumping out too much plastic.

Sounds like the flow rate is set to extrude more than you need and it's banging against the parts that get raised. Try lowering the flow rate... Other than that I don't see how it would bang against the part without any pics.

It was the flow rate. Thanks for the help.
