Topic: Da Vinci 1.0 woes
Hey guys,
I've been having some trouble with my Da Vinci.
First, it stopped heating when i went to unload filament, but would heat properly when printing and loading filament, which i thought was weird. I was getting errors 0011 and 0014, So i took out the heating element connector, and replaced it with a deans style connector, as well as reseated the ports on the PCB for the extruder, as they were a little off kilter. I went to put it all back together, and when I turned it on, the LCD displayed like normal, but the buttons only worked intermittently, and the whole machine would restart about every 30 seconds. sometimes the buttons work, sometimes not, but I have yet to actually be able to do anything. I pulled off the front panel and noticed the flex cable was pretty well bent out of shape and wrinkled, so the first thing i did was reseat it at both ends, and tried again. same thing. i was beginning to get desperate, so I cut the cable to a spot before where the wrinkles were, and scraped off the sheathing to expose the contacts, tried again, and it was the same issue. It's now looking like the PCB for the LCD, specifically where the buttons connect, or maybe theres some sort of short somewhere. any ideas?
Thanks
