Topic: Bed heating troubles in RH on Mac

Anyone else have troubles getting the bed to heat up in RH on Mac? Almost every morning I turn everything on and tell the bed to heat up before I heat the extruders, but the bed won't warm. Sometimes I can get it to warm by turning the extruders on, and that kind of kicks it in gear. Another note, every time I start RH the Power button under Print Panel is turned off. I always turn it on, but now I'm wondering if it does anything at all. Other times I can get it to warm by disconnecting from RH, shutting the printer off and unplugging the usb, plugging it back in, turning the printer on, the connecting in RH again.

I know only a few people are using Macs, but just wondering if anyone else was having troubles and what they might be doing to get it warming.

Re: Bed heating troubles in RH on Mac

I forgot to mention, the status indicator says idle even when I turn the bed on.

Just FYI, I got it to heat up this morning by turning off extruder 1, turning on extruder 2, and waiting until it was heated all the way, then the bed kick on...

Re: Bed heating troubles in RH on Mac

RH has not upgraded its Mac version in well over a year.  I think that has a lot to do with the problems you, I and plenty of other Mac users have.  I have an IMac I have gone to using Parallels to run Win 7 so I can use the constantly upgraded Windows versions.  I have all but given up in RH for Mac at the present.
Look into Parallels or even Boot Camp to allow a Win version to run on the newer Macs.

I only have 1 extruder to worry about...
