Topic: Firmware help

Hi, im redesigning the da vinci into a H-bot/Core XY design, and wanted to know if someone could see if the custom repitier firmware people are putting on it, including me could be changed to H-bot printer style firmware, or will i have to switch over to a ramps 1.4?

The board in the Da Vinci is unlike any other board used on the market. It is proprietary to the extreme. They had to rewrite Repetier from scratch to get it to work on this board. Non of the pin assignments are the same as other boards. So being said there is no other firmware other than stock and the modified Repetier firmware that will work on the stock board. If you want to use something else you will need to change the board.

Printing since 2009 and still love it!
Anycubic 4MAX best $225 ever invested.
Voxelabs Proxima SLA. 6 inch 2k Mono LCD.
Anycubic Predator, massive Delta machine. 450 x 370 print envelope.

Re: Firmware help

if you have a fw that work for H-bot and work with arduino Due, it is not difficult to make davinci board working, as davinci pinout is now well known.
I do not know if repetier or marlin for due support H-bot, but as you are designing one, I guess you did some research and you know what fw support H-bot.  So if one of them support arduino Due, you should be able to adapt the pin assignment.

OK, thanks it looks like i'll just be picking up a ramps 1.4 combo off amazon for around $50 since that would be much easier than trying to completely redo the firmware.

Hello, can you provide a link or some information on where I could get the ponout specs on the DaVinci?

Thanks...

Re: Firmware help

I maintain it for 1.0(A)/2.0(A) in my github https://github.com/luc-github/Repetier-Firmware-0.92
you need also to use the variant.cpp as some pins are not defined by default in arduino

Re: Firmware help

If H-Bot XYCore is what repetier call XY_GANTRY then seems it is in FW
