Topic: finishing with rotatory/vibratory thumblers and sandblasting?

I'm surprised I can't find much discussion on these.

I've only seen one guy trying tumblers with bronzefill printed parts,

And one guy sandblasting prints:

Anyone else tryied any of these techniques with simple ABS/PLA prints?

I've tried tumbling (rotary and vibratory) bronzefill and didn't really get anywhere.  I tried out tumbling with ABS, and it makes a nice matte finish that feels good to the touch.  The large ceramic media I used didn't do a lot for layer lines, but other media might work better.  I think it is a good followup to vapor smoothing when you want to smooth the print but don't want the high gloss.

The problem I have with vapor smoothing is it's kind of random and doesn't smooth uniformly, and kinda melts some parts (down).
Matte finish is also nice.

Would love to see some photos.
