Topic: 1st (and last) attempt printing with Ninjaflex

Started bunching up right away,  wouldn't go down the extruder nozzle.

Raised temperature to 235C, still nothing. 

On my SD2,  I can extrude Ninjaflex with 215C.

I took apart the print head, held the nozzle with pliers...it accidentally
touched the side plastic part (where the calibrator is held)...that plastic
began melting.

I probably will need a needle the diameter of a syringe to try and poke/unclog
the jammed extruder head.


DO NOT USE NINJAFLEX WITH THE SD PRESS!!!

That should say, 'Do not use ninjaflex with the stock hotend on the Press'

Secondly, The SD2 hotend/thermistor arrangement is different from the Press. Hence the lower temp reading.

I took the SD Press nozzle apart, it was two little bits.  The nozzle was
seriously jammed.

I placed them both in a small cup, filled it with acetone and stirred it
occasionally.  After a few minutes,  I stick a needle in the nozzle
end and finally the jammed/ABS gunk began coming out. 

I kept putting it back in the acetone filled cup for a few minutes, stirring
it...then taking it out/etc.

Finally...after 30 minutes of this when I was super sure it was clean,
I re-installed it in the Press and PRESTO!  ABS began printing out nice
and clean.

I will say this about the Press:  The ability to quickly take apart the head
assembly is a small miracle.  There's still a lot of things they could do
to improve the design...but it's a nice step in the right direction.

I just would love to figure out how to get Ninjaflex working with this machine.

I heard someone printing rubber filament whit sewing machine oil on the filament to lower friction but it was not a solidoodle printer  But it worked
