Topic: da vinci 1.0 prints not sticking to bed

hello all

just reset up another print on the printer and the last 3 prints have lifted and then turned in to hot plastic blobs

i have tried glue sticks as in uhu glu and also pva glue

i am going to try hairspray i will spray this in to a container first and then paint on to print bed so printer doesnt explode

i am using a natural abs as apparently my print head doesnt like pla  but oh well

can some one please help is there something else i should be doing

i am printing rafts and supports the head is wire brushed so it has no dags on it and it is saying calibration success 

any help would be wonderful

The calibration does not set the correct values and your head is much too high above the bed. I would suggest following the manual bed leveling procedure to the letter that is a sticky at the top of this section. You should se much better results then and you won't need a raft after that either.

What software are you using to slice the models of it's something like slic3r you need to make sure the first layer is thinner than the rest of the print. This will ensure that the plastic make good adhesion to the bed.

If you manually calibrate it as Carl said don't use the calibrate feature I use to spend hours trying to get it right seen the manual cal method tried it and after about 5-10 minutes did the best print I did up to then and never had an issue since

using xyz software  and will try manual calibration and see how i go

was looking at going to repetier firmware is it worth the hassle of putting it on

i have the xyzpro so i can reset cartridges and firmware has been rolled back to J

ok have done manual calibration and the filament is still not sticking to the bed is there something else i should be trying sad
