Topic: Any success with Taulum T-Glase?

Has anyone had any success printing with Taulum T-Glase?  I was able to get it to extrude with temps from 215-260c but about 15 minutes into my prints the extrusion always stops.  I'm not sure if it's jamming or clogging but I'm able to retract the filament and then feed it back in without clearing the extruder and it will begin extruding again.

Have you taken measurements of the filament along several points?  I have found that every now and then I get a roll of T-Glase that is rather oval in shape and will produce symptoms similar to what you've described above.

Re: Any success with Taulum T-Glase?

I have spent a lot of time trying to get T-Glase to work, and haven't had significant success. With my "Super Cooler" mod I was able to print short prints (less than an hour) but even with that huge amount of additional cooling it would still jam eventually. I have only had any luck printing one kind of PET out of the five or so that I have tried, and that is the FormFutura PET filament.

I haven't, I'll pull out the calipers and see what's up tonight.

I don't have a proper spool handler and so my filament just uncoils from the spools laying flat on the table.  There seems to be some tension build up in the filament from this, might the tension twisting the filament cause some issues?

It isn't improving the situation that's for sure.  It also helps to dehydrate that filament before you use it.  Even just putting the roll on your bed heater at 100 for 45 minutes enclosed helps.
