Topic: Noise / Vibration coming from Z motor.

I'm having an issue where there is noise and vibration happening when the Z motor gets near the top of its range (I'd say within an inch) I've tried grease, tightening the ring with the two pin holes on the top of the Z motor, tightening the bed screws on the bottom. Nothing has worked in removing this yet.

Any ideas?

Re: Noise / Vibration coming from Z motor.

I have the same issue. Until I can figure out a proper fix, I just set my Z speed to 1mm/s. It slows down z-probe quote a lot, but at least my bed is not shaking any longer and I'm getting nice prints.

Edit: I'm using Repetier-Host. Updated z speed in EEPROM using RH.

Have you checked the bottom of the printer for the bolts to the bed guides?  Mine were missing installing them helped with some of my vibration issues

Interesting. I am missing those screws. I'll pick some up tomorrow to see if that helps with the sound. I read in another thread they are M4 x 10 or 12.
