Topic: Stepper wiring diagram

I am building a Bowden drive so I purcheased a new stepper
motor.

The new motor has four wires, red, blue and green black.

The stock motor has a 6 pin plug with four wires, yellow,
red, blue, orange.

Anybody have a wiring diagram or no what color matches
the new motor?

This is the diagram for the new stepper motor.

Thanks Mike, definitely a lot of color combinations there.

I will have to use resistance measurements to isolate the windings and trial and error to determine phase as not to damage the motor or drivers.

I was hoping someone has gone through this already but I know there are a lot of different motors out there.

Hook one coil to the A side and one to B  should be OK I think the worst that could happen is the motor hum and not move or move the opposite direction of forward.
One of those things every manufacturer uses there own color code. some factories it may depend on what wire is in stock and the day of the week.

The only place to buy the original is from the XYZ parts store on their site. Unfortunately those parts never seem to be in stock.

Will replace any motor on the XYZ.

Thanks... how to work with this diagram I need extruder motor they don't honor any warranty ..... bad deal

Here is the wiring code.

stock motor red/yellow to new motor green/black
                  blue/orange to new motor blue/red

Mime got bad motor from 10 prints
