Topic: My temp Boden setup

Well I am pretty new to this 3D printing but I am having a blast and learning much!

I built a Bowden setup and installed it temporarily
to see how it worked.

Simply mounted the hot end in the stock carriage with two bolts
so I could quickly put back the stock head.

I printed off a couple of items that looked ok but not as
good as the stock setup.

I think the retraction settings where off for the Bowden setup.

I had the hot end jam up once and I'm not sure why.
I made a print and when I tried to make another it was jammed up tight.

The picture does not show it but I had the stock fan sitting in front of the hot end.

So I am not liking the Bowden setup that much, makes it difficult to swap filaments also.

I am going to build a new drive all in one unit that will probably mount in the stock carriage.

Re: My temp Boden setup

Looks good, I've really like the idea of not modifying the original stock setup so If any case I could put the stock extruder back, let's say in case of Jam switch back temporarily.
