Topic: Maybe, just maybe!

I had some crazy issues trying to print with clear ABS. Maybe you folks could lend some insight.... every time fails on same layer with transparent abs. works with blue. tried multiple same layer fail, on 1of them or on 8....

Re: Maybe, just maybe!

What do you mean by fails, not finishing?? This printer uses and optical system to detect when filament runs out and it will stop the extruder when it thinks it is out. If the filament is clear enough it will not register and the system will think it is out. So it may run long enough to get to where you are and then stop due to it thinking it is out. Try putting electrical tape over one side of the sensor in the head if you are using transparent filament.

Otherwise I am not sure what the fail is since you did not specify.

Printing since 2009 and still love it!
Anycubic 4MAX best $225 ever invested.
Voxelabs Proxima SLA. 6 inch 2k Mono LCD.
Anycubic Predator, massive Delta machine. 450 x 370 print envelope.

Carl_m1968 see attached pic. Blue part, finished. Transparent part, not finished. I had already taped the sensor, so, check!
I tried a dozen or so times with different slic3r settings. Most ending with similar results. I had 2 successful prints, but I had to print them at 0.4 layer thickness. When I tried to repeat that I only got 1 finished out of 10 then finally threw in the towel.

The "failure" is the printer will actually stop extruding, or will actually have trouble extruding. Skipping and not consistent feeding.

I just don;t know how to trouble shoot it, whether the temp is to high or what.. and with a hacked davinci. Going through all the steps to change slic3er settings then exporting, then changing it all is just SUPER tedious.

My DaVinci uses a mechanical switch to sense the filament. Maybe that came on the 1.0A.
