Topic: ISSUE 32 Z axis motor broken or Z-axis sensor f%$&$&$d

What a wonderful piece of work this DaVinci is. Leonardo would be proud.

I've just got a issue 32. (It seems to be programmed to give an issue a week)  The documentation on this is useless. "Check the motor wires, Check the sensor". And what am I looking for?

I did a home axes and it looks to me as if it works. The "vertical blade" goes up into the "cavity" of the sensor, and after a few wiggles the z-motor stops.

So what could it be?

Ok, I jogged it up and down, I wiggled the wires of the z azis sensor, and on the 4th attempt I no longer got the 0032 error. But hells bells...

have you had any luck with this?  My z-axis sensor doesn't recognize the probe anymore.  I replace the z-axis sensor and bent the probe a bit to better align the probe and sensor eye, but it's still very flakey.  Did do you have any luck?
