Topic: Silence on my refund

Like many others, I've resorted to having to come to the forums to raise a fuss. My emails are not responded to. I was emailed on January 20th that I would receive a refund in 10-15 business days... today is day 19. First, why does it take 10-15 business days? The product hadn't even shipped yet (no surprise) and yet it takes at least 10 days? I'm sorry but I'm just glad to finally be done with this company. This is the first time I've vented online about my frustration having been one of the first to pre-order followed by a 3 and half month wait for a product that was to ship in 6-8 weeks.

Please take care of this. I can't believe it's this hard to get my money back for a product that never left your warehouse. Unprofessional doesn't begin to describe how I feel.

I had to deal with the same thing from makerbot. I requested a refund, but never got one. I ended up going to the credit card company that I payed for the makerbot with to get it resolved.

Ulitmaker 2, a few repraps, Custom Big FFF 3D printer with heated chamber.

What credit card do you have that let you refund that large of a purchase?? I have an AMEX and they're pretty strict about not protecting purchases over $300 in my experience (if you made the purchase and someone didn't, say, steal your card).

The magic word when I emailed Solidoodle was "chargeback". That got the ball rolling quickly.

Thanks guys, I guess I'll start the process of a charge back. I never heard of it before but looks like there's a first time for everything. I really don't feel they deserve a threat of doing it. They didn't refund in time as they stated in their policy and I already sent them emails wanting an update. I'm glad it'll cost them something for wasting my time and sitting on my money.
