Topic: Help please. After 1 1/2 yrs I cannot remember how to print! Well...

Hi guys. I made a part in Autodesk 123D (love that software) and have a good Stl file now. I am trying to print it thru Repetier and can't make the steppers or extruder go. I've gone through and check everything, my bed and etruder are heated up, the job is Loaded, printer is plugged in and humming. But when I click Run Job, it only builds the part on the screen, the printer does nothing. I unchecked the Dry Run button, still no luck. My Solidoodle printer is configured right in the Setup, I don't see any cables unplugged in the printer.

The printer was working fine when I last used it, I only quit because I was frustrated with SketchUp. The printer has been in my office, nice climate control, hasn't been dropped or anything.

So, what dumb thing am I forgetting? Thanks!

Are you sure is not set to virtual printer in Printer settings/ connection?

SD3, E3D hotend,linear bearing on x/y axis',pillow block bearing on y conneting rod, ball bearngs on front y axis, fan on y stepper motor.

Yes, you're right. But when I try to select another port it doesn't find any. When I manually type in COM3 it says port does not exist.

What printer do you have? Maybe try an other USB cable .Does it make the "found new hardware" sound when you plug in the USB cable?

Its an SD3, Win 8, same exact machine and setup (unless something got changed) from the last time I printed. It does make the new device sound when I plug in the USB cable.

In device manager does it show up under com ports?

Hey, I got it. I re-ran driver install with Windoes n the mode to accept unsigned drivers. Voila! Thanks, Satman49. I appreciate your time and help.

Actually, it's not working. I am getting an error when I start to print. The thread is in the Help section, "API Error..."
