Topic: X axis progessively off

Helllo all.

I gpt a da vinci 1.0 a few months and everything was printing fine until recently. If I print something large (ie a box) it will start fine but eventually it changes the x axis with each layer. Ie if its a box instead of placing the next layer ontop of the last it will move about 1mm to the side.

Has anyone else experienced this?

Thanks.

Check your belt tension and make sure the drive pulley set screws are tight to the motor shaft...other than that use the search box above and you will find a ton of threads on Layer Shifting...

SD2 - Stock - Enclosure - Heated Bed - Glass Plate - Auto Fire Extinguisher
Ord Bot Hadron - RAMPS 1.4 - Bulldog XL - E3D v6 - 10" x 10" PCB Heated Build w/SSR - Glass Plate
Thanks for All of Your Help!

I would also check if the belt has stepped a teet. When the printer turned off, pull back the carriage to the door end then check if both side of the carriage toutch the pulley. If not, you may have to adjust the belt accordingly. Also, gently check if your bed is loose sideway.

I had the same problem.
Check the glass on the bed and see if you can move it around by pushing back and forth on it.
I eventually had to add some metal shims at all four corners to secure it tight.
