Topic: A open source 3d scanner Ciclop
Has anyone seen the article on 3dprint about the open source 3d scanner. What do you think? From what I read so far it seems to be a nice system.

what happens after that? can we still order one?
I think you will have to hope that he decides to sell them post KS. Otherwise you are out of luck.
Ive been following the ciclop since i saw an article on it the week of CES last month, looks pretty cool to say the least. i plan to build one once my press gets here and i can print out the parts that i need. i already aaquired the 2 lasers, webcam, nema 17 stepper, the bearing for the table and most of the metric hardware needed....im just waiting on BQ to start selling the ZUM stuff on their amazon store. at least the ZUM SCAN shield, i believe you can use an Arduino Uno R3 in place of their ZUM BT328, but im not certain.
