Topic: Print head home location off - error with auto calibration
Hi, I am new to this and just received my XYZ Davinci printer yesterday, so bear with me.
After loading the filament, I attempted a test print. I noticed during the automatic nozzle cleaning (where the print head goes back and forth over the metal fingers to knock off filament), the nozzle was positioned too far to the right (looking from the front window toward the rear). When the print head moved forwards and backwards to clean the nozzle, it completely missed the metal cleaning finger.
After the cleaning cycle, the print head moved over and the print nozzle contacted the glass (I could hear it). The print head dragged the nozzle across the glass. I hit cancel as quickly as I could.
I then attempted an auto calibration. I received numbers for the first two points, but the third point produced an error. I could see that the nozzle button used for the calibration was too far to the right for the 3rd point and did not contact the metal corner of the glass, instead it came down directly onto the glass.
Any idea why the print head seems so far off to the right? I will try to take some pictures this evening.
Edit: Here is the location of my youtube video of the calibration process. Upon looking closer, I think the calibration is missing the last metal corner to the rear, not the right.
