Topic: Print bed wobbly

Hi my printer's bed has quite a bit of give when pushed down on (z-axis). I am not sure if this is affecting my prints but I assume so because parts of prints closer to the z worm drive will get much less give than the parts of the prints closer to the far end of the y axis (near the door). Does anyone else have this problem and if so have you corrected it?

Thanks in advance

Re: Print bed wobbly

just dont push down when it is printing. This wobble I think only affects the auto calibration where sometimes this wobbles pops up a outlier value for the three z-axis measurement points. I would suggest you do three autos to get the average and show up these outliers. I suspect these outliers cause the long tedious several hours long  hunt for a successful auto calib- even then the z offset is probably wrong (too large or small).

Re: Print bed wobbly

At www.elproducts.com under YouTube videos, he has a video on the print bed. I also put some
glue using a glue gun on the top and base of the 2 Z axis support bars. This made the bed more rigid and my prints looked better. Be careful with the glass on the print bed. If you clamp it down too well, like I did, it will crack when heated. That's what happened to me and now I'm waiting for a replacement.
