Topic: Pirx - introduction

Hi there,

I'm Adam and I'm from Pirx 3D.
I'll tell you about our start-up, sorry if it will sounds like a salesman speak, but I think it's common problem when you try to talk about company's work. Anyway I'll make it as painless as possible.

So, we're 1 year old start-up from Poland, based in Cracow.
Pirx (constantly confused with prix) stands for a name of hero from Stanislaw Lem's books - Captain Pirx. Dig it out, 'cause Lem is one of the best (THE BEST to tell the truth) hard sci-fi writer. We all love the sciene, outer-space and astronaut stuff and that's why we choose Captain Pirx to be our avatar. Okay, enough with literature and it's affectivness.

As I said, we are 1 year old start-up and we've developed two 3d printers so far.

First one was Pirx 1.0 (creative, right?).
It was small device with open, wooden body/frame, 16x20x25 [cm] printing surface, and extruder of our design. It didn't had a heated bed, LCD screen, SD card slot and all those fancy features. Our main goal was to deliver an affordable desktop printer, that also print in good quality. Well, the clients and reviewers were happy, satisfied and surprised with the quality of printouts.

Our second model was Grand Pirx (dem quibbles!) and it was augumented Pirx 1.0 - greater printing surface, LCD screen, SD card slot, heated bed, all that you want and need.

And right now, we've launched pre-order for our new printer - PIRX one.
This one is completely new design. Frame is made out of steel and looks really pretty (at least that's what's press saying). What's inside? LCD screen, SD card slot, heated or normal bed, so basically, everything what's considered as standard equipment. The biggest feature is the autoleveling bed. The Q-sensors of our invention level the bed automatically, so user don't have to worry about the crooked bed.

These are our products, this is what we do. If you have any questions, just ask.
Once again - I am Adam from Pirx 3D and I'm happy to meet you smile
