Does anyone else experience their power supplies getting MASSIVELY hot? I have placed a copper heat sync on it to try and help, but the kind of hot that my power supply is currently sitting at is quite uncomfortable. Am I the only one experiencing this? If not, any fixes yet, maybe upgrade the supply?

Its fine. A heatsink (with a 'k') won't help since you can't get get good thermal bonding between the two. You can put a fan on it if you want, but there's really no need.

Good to know ha ha. Although the 660's heatSINK does get toasty, but it does run on like 40 amps of 24v and around 30 of 12v something crazy high like that, but I have not checked since I had major issues with the 650
+1 for a power supply that runs too hot to touch. Although its cool now since my extruder thermistor shorted out rendering the whole thing useless. 
Hopefully support will respond soon.
Meanwhile, I have been researching a replacement power supply. There is no way this current power supply will live long. Hopefully when it goes it doesn't turn my house into carbon with it. I am thinking of sourcing a higher powered open case supply and putting a inline 7.5A fuse to start. Since this is what the current model is rated for. I believe I have found a source for the connector on the end. Apparently it is common with small LCD TV's and monitors. Mouser has them in stock, part # 806-KPPX-4P

A lot of us run our machines off one of these, it's not the prettiest but I can guarantee it will meet your needs. Be aware the press runs on 24v:

I had a junk USB fan cooler laying around the placed it a few inches above the supply. This seems to remedy the situation. I also have a solid copper heat sink on it but that is not needed, the fans, for what little air they push, keep it more than reasonable.
So, my power supply totally fried. Green light won't even turn on anymore... It's really frustrating because I finally got SoliPrint to connect (and of course I get my reply from support a week after I submit it after I get it working on my own). I haven't even gotten a single usable part and my Press is a paperweight. I sent them a request for a replacement/repair, and naturally, no response. Super frustrating.
So, moral of the story, should I just get one of these and send them the bill? Also, does anyone know the part number of the connector? I assume I'll need to make a cable to go from the power supply to the Press connector...
Grr. I was SOOOOO excited for a plug-n-play hobby 3d printer solution! (A contradiction, I know). The press is pretty beautiful and a huge step above what I have seen from SoliDoodle so far. SoliPrint is also a great first effort and I'd like to believe it will only go up from here. If only I could just get some support, I would be a very happy evangelist!

My power supply is scary hot also, I keep it under shelf with press above it, hope it helps the bed heat up quicker. Fan is needed I guess.
As far as your broken thermistor, look on eBay or amazon, mine was broken and I didn't want to send my press back for repair. So I bought thermistor on eBay and had it fixed before solidoodle responded and wanted me to ship whole printer back.
I have been printing every night since.

I have been printing every night since.
Had great results placing a fan above it. Also put a massive heatsink on it when I dont want the fans. A cheap 5v fan is plenty, just have to have airflow.
My power supply clocked in today at 67c in a fairly chilly room.
TL;DR:
1)Within temperature limits for for information technology equipment.
2)Burn threshold is ~30 sec at 67c.
3)Still too hot for my liking.

For comparison, EC limits for plastic on the front of a clothes dryer is 60c and a little lower, 58c for category F appliances.
However, this is not a clothes dryer and probably falls under the less restrictive IEC 60950-1 for information technology equipment. Which is the standard the power supply quotes. However, SD has marketed the Press as appropriate for a living room, and 60950-1 is clearly not appropriate there.

Wow, you went through a lot of research, nice! It runs plenty fine without the cooling, but like you said, it is too hot for my personal tastes. A small fan, any bit of air movement, will work just fine to keep it significantly cooler. If you can, go to your local college and ask their IT department if they have a spare computer heatsink laying around that is not needed. Clean the thermal compound off and place it on top of the power supply, that will help as well 
Anyone design printable standoffs for the power supply?

Why bother printing it? Throw a few lego's or something like that under it if you want to get it up off the surface it is on. No need for the high complexity of printing one
Well, the bricks wouldn't stay under it as my family moves it around. I coiuld zip tie them on but why waste good Lego?
make some calibration cubes then and just glue them on the bottom ha ha
OK, a few plastic bottle caps drilled and zip-tied to the bottom would have been faster, but I designed and printed some stretchlet style standoffs, just because. (AC adapter, so you just have to use sine waves!) Printed in ABS, back when my heat bed worked.
