Topic: 3Dhubs etc
anyone else a member of this site? having real lack of any contact since joined about a year ago. has gotten worse lately. seems its not really a 3D marketing site but just a poll/survey acquiring site. with 10k printers on file over a couple years and near nil accrual marketing or even live/active hubs left. staff cant seem to follow through on anything.
I am interested in getting a group of 3D printer owners, plus 3D designers, Scanners, filament recyclers etc to join forces based in Central USA.
sharing info on our needs related to this industry, and start a web site with marketing/advertising for local then beyond of prospective clients needing these service. we can help each other grow by providing what we each bring to the table as a unit 'cottage industry' style.
we can start a category on this forum for topics related to this effort. I saw 13 hubs in the St Louis bi-state MO/IL area listed on 3Dhubs but most seem abandoned likely for same reasons I have lost hope for it. I have contacted some not on 3Dhubs to try and start this, also members of this forum. and 3dhubs required they join to RSVP meeting which they obviously have zero intentions of helping coordinating as I am painfully aware after several months of lighting fires under them to do. just lots of false promises and more balls dropped than a senior citizen basketball team.
I welcome any and all interested to post here or PM me for more info. I still have a local meeting scheduled for Sat Jan 17th at 2PM for our 1st brain storming session. with future meetings in larger location for public input also. I think this can be a huge thing in short time. as there are many 3D printing clubs and tech shops/hacker spots already around the nation. this would be more of a coordinated business community to help us make income as we expand while aiding schools, health centers, R&D labs etc. we all have to do our part though as I can not carry anyone's responsibilities. I am retired/disabled myself and have been in past 'clubs' where 10% do 90% of work. thats not going to happen with this.
slackers need not reply.
sincerely Mitch G.
