Topic: cleaning pipe and nozzle after torching?

How should I clean the pipe and nozzle now that I had to torch it?

I had to torch it because I heated the nozzle to 180C but the plastic was stuck for good and the wooden blocks kept breaking (bending pipe?). Don't know why that happens.

No pictures, replaced the wood with the flanges which broke vertically already.
ABS.
No mods.

Use acetone to clean it out.  It would be good to see some pictures of your setup so we can help ensure you have it set up properly.

Are the black spots leftover ABS in the barrel?

I would think that you would want to get everything off to look like new, but elmoret would probably be the best to answer this.

Pictures are many times worth 1000 words.

Re: cleaning pipe and nozzle after torching?

Probably not, the outside wall is mainly black, the part which was torched.
I'll make photos soon.

So the parts of the barrel, coupler and nozzle which were torched got black.
I managed to clean only small parts with acetone. Rest is still dark, though not completely black.

Is the inside of the barrel/coupling/nozzle black? It doesn't really matter if the outside of the barrel is black. Have you tried extruding anything? You may have to do a purge before you can get quality filament again.
