Topic: Twist object with 123D Design ??

Anyone know how to put a twist in a model with 123D Design ?
I'm trying to design a propellor for an outboard motor and can't figure out how to put a twist in the blades.

I have also been looking for a way to do this, any help would be appreciated.

I don't know how to twist an existing model, but you can create one from sketches using the Loft tool.  The attached picture is a sample I did.  I created a curved sketch, copy/pasted and moved/rotated it to create a curved, twisted solid.  Then I used the front face of the cube to sketch the front view of the blade, and extruded it through that solid using intersect. Then it was just a matter of copying the blades.

Feel free to ask if something isn't clear, or you have questions.

Thanks for that. I just about follow you but get a bit lost at the cube.
Could you upload a few more pics if possible.

Re: Twist object with 123D Design ??

The cube is only used as an easy way to get the front view sketch perpendicular to the twisted solid.  You can just sketch the blade profile on the regular grid and then rotate it up so it will cut out the desired shape.  I have attached the top & front view to help show what I did.

Edit: I added the .123dx file I did as well, so you can see what I did better.  I wasn't thinking, I should have added it the first time.
