Topic: [Custom Firmware] Z Axis Wont Go Into Nagitives

Hi, I just got A Da Vinci, and am calibrating it but the problem is that I cant calibrate the Z axis because Repetirer wont let my Z axis to go into the nagiteves, so every time I start a print I have to pause my print, turn off the motor and move it up by hand, then after the print is don the print just resets it self back to were it was Aline on the Z axis so I have to do that every time I start a new print.

If you zeroed the Z according to the Repetier setup guide on Voltivo's forum then you should not need it to go into negative numbers. Your zero value stored in the EEPROM should have the extruder at or very close to the exact level you need it at. The just very slight adjustments to the screws to dial it in. You should never have to make changes in gcode or z offset if your zero value was set and stored correctly.

Printing since 2009 and still love it!

I do but when I start a print it goes to the nagitive but then it goes to the positive position just before it starts. But when I send it to home position it goes to the nagitives but when I go to manual controls in host and send the board down 0.1 mm the board goes to zero then goes 0.1 mm down
