Topic: Opening/Editing .STLs
Lets say that I have an STL, and want to make a change to it. I can't find a way to open it with SketchUp, and it may not even be possible.
Any recommendations for software that I can use to edit current STLs?
Thanks!

Hello.
You will need to install a SketchUp plugin that let you import .STL files.
You can find it here:
STL Importer for Google Sketchup 7+

While you are at it, you can install the G. SketchUp plugin that let you save models as .STL Files
STL Exporter for Google Sketchup 6+

In some cases the STL file you import may be oversized by alot, so you would need to scale it down (or use ReplicatG to scale it down\up).
Hope this post is helpfull for you. ![]()
Holy freaking awesome, thanks!
Blender also lets you import STL files and edit them. Also free.
