Topic: Bed level adjuster mod

Been finding the stock thumb screws a bit awkward to turn and difficult to gauge how much you've turned them so I knocked up these .... www.thingiverse.com/thing:526058.
They're much easier to turn and provide a visual aid to help judge the amount of adjustment.

Thanks Scobo - I had just finished measuring up the dimensions and was going to machine several pcs but why spend the time there when your simple solution works just as well.  Thanks again for sharing.  Now if we could just get the resolution we've dreamed of for those threads on the 3 mm thread!  Even so, it's the simplest solutions sometimes that we tend to overlook!

Re: Bed level adjuster mod

Just got round to replacing my printers 2 rear thumb screws and realised the original adjuster is too short, doh !
Apologies, I'm working on this just now and will upload a 2nd STL for the rear adjusters shortly.

Re: Bed level adjuster mod

Ok, I've uploaded a 2nd version of the adjuster to Thingiverse which fits the 2 at the back.
So use 1 of the short ones at the front and 2 of the longer ones at the back.
Once again, apologies to anyone who has already printed 3 of the original, shorter ones.

Never hurts to have a few spares - no problem at all - Thanks.

Re: Bed level adjuster mod

Scobo, just wanted to let you know I printed your adjusters.  I ran the auto calibrate, took me just a handful of tries and got it dialed in to 230 (much quicker than before).  I started to print something and it wasn't sticking well.  I turned each adjuster exactly 1/4 turn and then tried it again and the printer laid down the most perfect first layer I have ever seen, it was paper thin and stuck perfectly (hopefully I can get it off when it cools! haha)

Thanks for a great idea!

Great stuff Scott !
That's exactly the method I've been using lately.
