Topic: WIN7 Failure to install?

Ok,  the work computers here run Win7 Pro,
and after cornering an IT guy to hang around with access codes, I ran through the same install steps for the "all-in-one" package that's on the site,

same steps as I used on all my XP laptops to give the kids access to the software so they could see how the slicer works...


and after running the all-in-one... there's no handy-dany icon on the desktop to launch Pronterface/Skeinforge...


anyone know what the problem could be?

I didn't have icons I had to dig them out and put them on my desktop.  I don't remember where they are but someone will be along shortly that can help. 

Look for skeinforge.py and pronterface.py

right, that worked.   or at least it seems to work...  still waiting on the printer to arrive to test it...

note: you need to install the 32-bit Python.  64-bit doesn't work (for me at least)
