Topic: Davinci 1.0 bed problems

Is there a calibration process for the z axis stepper motor?    I removed my bed to lay it on its side and fix the bushing on the right side to get rid or the annoying bed wobble.........Now that i have put it back together it prints terrible............Ive calibrated the bed till im ready till throw it out in the driveway.........Its almost like its not moving down the way it is supposed to........I will post some pics tomorow as i have already had my fill of it for today.........

Re: Davinci 1.0 bed problems

The built in calibration is useless.  For proof, perform this:
Tell the printer to do a calibration.  Note the numbers
DO NOT MAKE ANY ADJUSTMENTS
Tell the printer to do ANOTHER calibration.  Note the numbers
Take notice that even though you didn't move or adjust anything, the numbers are different (Often vastly)

To calibrate it manually simply start a print, and as soon as it starts turn the printer off.  Now you can manually move the extruder around to the 4 corners of the bed and calibrate by eye/feel.  See my post here http://www.soliforum.com/topic/8122/pro … lue-stick/ There is some information on how I calibrated my bed, and a few other useful/important pieces of information in there.

Re: Davinci 1.0 bed problems

I apologize for not being more specific, I was rather upset and should have included more details..... I'm not running the xyz firmware.....I am running repetier host and am very used to calibrating the bed manually..... Not exactly sure what the problem is but I don't think that's it......

Thanks
Mike

Had it printing great before I decided to try and get rid of that bed wobble........The nickel in the picture is for size reference...... Now for the life of me I can't figure this out. ...I will print another set of the same mounts tomorrow and post pics for comparison.......
