Topic: Slic3r not slicing correctly

I'm trying to print the heart gears from http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:12208 and when I slice the center part of it, with or without other parts, it adds on more than what's already there. I've had this issue when slicing other parts, as well as had parts go missing or make the first 20 or so layers disappear. I've tried .1, .2, and .3mm slices with all different configurations to try and figure this out.
Has anyone else had this happen? I'm going to get a screenshot soon.

I just sliced the center and it did something similar.

Re: Slic3r not slicing correctly

Seems weird, but isn't this support? Try to increase the angle closer to 90º
