Topic: Bed not returning to start up position

I started a print and could see that it was failing; extruder skipping.   Then I stopped the printer and gave instructions for it to go down before it cooled.  It didn't go down immediately as expected, it didn't go down when it cooled, didn't go down after a restart.  How do I get the bed to go down where it belongs?

Try using the manual controls on the LCD control panel.
