Topic: Fabtotum

Anyone been watching development of this?  I'm pretty intrigued at the possibility of both additive and subtractive in the same housing, although the thought of milling dust and its impact on belt/shaft cleanliness for fine positioning makes me go <ulp>.

Re: Fabtotum

Well, have the itch for something newer than my Solidoodle v2, so took the chance and pre-ordered this.  About the same price as the SD Workbench but adds the scanning and milling instead of a 2nd extruder.

Plus, it came in red. wink

Re: Fabtotum

Definitely!  They're predicting Jan 2015 for pre-order deliveries but I assume they may have delays.  Won't be too irate if no news is pending until say April 2015, so it'll be a wait...
