Topic: Diagonal start up strips

For the first several prints I made, the first layer of the print object started directly on the glass print bed.  Then for reasons unknown, the printer started putting down a layer of diagonal line on the print bed, then the object printing starts on top of the bed of lines.

Is there a way to turn off the construction of this bed of diagonal lines and start the printing directly on the glass?

Raft? Do you use repetier host ?

SD3, E3D hotend,linear bearing on x/y axis',pillow block bearing on y conneting rod, ball bearngs on front y axis, fan on y stepper motor.

Raft must be the name for the diagonal lines that the print object sits on.  That makes sense, they are like a raft.
I see that there is a control for raft and I had it checked.  Un-check, problem solved.  Thanks
