Topic: Slic3r vs skeinforge sticking issues
I have been printing 50 cases for a small bit of electronics I have made and to speed up the process I modelled 2 case tops and 2 case bottoms on the bed, printing 4 objects at once. actually ... did a timelapse with this and you can see the method here..

It does each area individually and the infill with the perimeter.. the part has a good chance of staying stuck.
So I have never had issues with sticking using skeinforge.
Then last week changed to the new repetier host and slic3r and have been printing fine with single objects, but this morning attempted to reslice this model and give it a go with slic3r .. its totally impossible, gave up after an hour or so and have gone back to skeinforge.
The problem with slic3r is it wants to print the perimeters of the 4 objects first leaving 4 fragile little circles on the bed, then rush back over them with no bed retraction and print the infill, of course running the extruder back over these tiny bits of filament drags them off the bed .. every ... single ... time.
I see many are using slic3r, is there a setting I am missing somewhere to get the method to change or some way to stop it ripping a small layer off ?
