Topic: SD4 Extruder calibration MAC

hello, I am trying to calibrate my SD4 Extruder, and i can see it is over extruding by 29mm, I know i need to set the E steps to 106.79 but i cannot get this to take in Repetier.

I see that i should be able to just add the G-Code M92 E106.79 but that does nothing if i added it to the first line in the Start G-Code, and if i type it into the G-code box on the print screen and hit send it also does nothing. Am i doing it wrong? Or?

I am working on a MAC if that matters.

Re: SD4 Extruder calibration MAC

You should be able to use the g-code box for this.

Responses should appear in the log window at the bottom of the repetier host window - the printer should acknowledge the commands you send at least. Make sure all "show in log" options are enabled (the log might be hiding the response).

You can save the current settings to eeprom (non-volatile memory, remembers the setting when you turn the printer off and on again) by sending M500 (to which the printer should respond with "settings stored" or similar)

And you can list what settings are stored in eeprom with M501.

It is known that the eeprom configuration window in repetier doesn't work on macs for some reason (otherwise I'd be directing you to that - much easier, but does the same thing underneath).
