Topic: What happens if the melt filter totally clogs?

Hypothetically, if the melt filter is clogged with debris, could that make the machine hypothetically rip itself to little pieces and shred the gearbox and fold the pipe around like a wet noodle?  Hypothetically.

I don't think so, though I guess it's possible. I've run melt filters with 3-4mm of debris buildup with no signifigant decrease in output, so I can't imagine how much you'd need to totally block it.

Loss of heat would do it.

Yes, a heater or controller failure, or bad wiring.
