Topic: Missing steps in Z axis - Help

Hi Guys,

I have a Solidoodle 2. It seems like the Z axis (Bed) is missing some steps (maybe 1 or 2). I noticed in every print I made it seems like the nozzle is squeezing the plastic at the 7th or 8th line. I can confirm this because at the 7th or 8th line the print is moving and you can see that the nozzle is hitting the print. Please help me.

Not really sure if I explained it very well. Forgive me english is not my native language.

Cheers,

Mura

You can see in the attached picture that at 6th, 7th and 8th line the nozzle starts to squeeze the print. Tested 2 cube prints and I get the same results.

Re: Missing steps in Z axis - Help

That looks like where is the bottom solid layers end, and normal perimeter walls begin. I suspect too many perimeters for the thickness of the wall. Try scaling up the model or select less perimeters. It could also be your infil  layer width.

Edit: to explain what I mean is, it looks like problem begins the transition of bottom layer solid infils, to normal perimeters and infils.
