Topic: Respool station STL anybody ?

Is there any STL or what ever design i can use to build my own respool station ?
I already working on my own using standard reprap extruder gears and designed/printed caps that would fit any size spools with 8mm hole for threaded rod to run thru.

Not sure yet how would i go attach the while thing together to make it stay together.
It works but i use printed bearings with airsoft bb's just to test it, so design is nothing what it would be when done.

I am no designer so i ask if someone has already done one already and i am just wasting my time.

I attached my spool cap made to work with 8x16x5mm Ball Bearing - 688 2TS Bearing. They were small and cheap $2.24 smile . Dont know what filastruder uses sad

Let me know if you have anything that i can use. Thanks !

Hey tony, if you're looking for bearings with an 8mm ID try looking up 608ZZ or 608-2RS on ebay (8x22x7mm) - they're used in skateboards so the fantastic volume of production makes them extremely cheap relative to their rating. You should be able to get them for well under a dollar each in quantities of 10 or so.
