Bottle + full of acetone + a few bits of ABS + shaking for a minute or two = ABS goop.
If that doesn't work perhaps you need to make sure the acetone you're using is the real stuff as opposed to say nail polish remover.
Basically all you need is slightly milky acetone liquid.
maybe im not put enough acetone or I'm also putting too much abs. I could have some fake acetone too. Grabbed dollar store stuff.

Don't use the knock off acetone. Quite a few users have posted negative results on various threads. Go to Ace or HD....think it's $6 for a quart(?).
Like Serin said, a milky mixture is what you want.
about how much scrap filament to acetone?

For about 4oz of Acetone (I use a smaller bottle), I don't usually put in more than a gram or two. Try to find some smaller pieces as these dissolve more quickly and don't "ball up." I use the ooze from filament heating and the brims from my prints as these are fast dissolvers.
ok that worked really well for me. gave my piece like a mother of pearl look the longer I dipped it thanks guys. Any other tricks out the for finishes i should learn?

Acetone vapor bath or paint.
There are "textured" spray paints that give a metallic and stone look.
Many people have a different approach to vapor smoothing, so it's just browse around and decide what you would want to try. Most people I have seen use a rice cooker.
I have a heat gun ima try it with tomorrow. Thanks a ton
